I came to your movie “Dancing in Angel Shadows” and was mesmerized. Beautiful! Time warp. A sense of being removed. Almost hypnotic like the “whirling dervishes”. Real world reality of interview vs the unworldliness of the ballet and dancers breathless, holding my breath in parts. Being one with the movie and dancers and dances. Incredible music, pausing the heart yet breathing in cadence. Part of the divine mystery and the course of angels. Again beautiful! Such a treat. I hope I will get to see it again.

Beautiful 45 minutes of film last night at the world premiere of Steve Childs' Dancing in Angel Shadows, as aptly described by Winston-Salem Festival Ballet's Gary Taylor as "not just a documentary, but a work of Art. See this when the opportunity comes; it's lovely.

Steve, I don't know if I will be able to really explain this well enough, but I absolutely loved your film. It was just beautiful. So beautiful. And from my seat, it looked like you really did an amazing job at capturing the same vision as the piece that inspired your film, and to expand on that vision. I wanted to let you know that I was really moved by your film, and left feeling inspired, humbled, happy and grateful to have been there. Well done.
